“I said no”
And yet, the story started badly. A symphonic version of his hits? It’s no! Or almost: “It was my manager who told me, ‘You should do a symphonic album for the anniversary of Yeux Revolvers.’ I said no, because it smelled a bit like a hearse. And then I slept on it and it reminded me of several very beautiful symphonic albums like those by Eurythmics or Portishead. And there we go.

“She arrived with lots of ideas”
For our greatest happiness, Marc Lavoine reforms his cult duo with Catherine Ringer on How beautiful are you?. At the microphone of Emilie Mazoyer, he poetically returns to this new version: “She’s a very dear friend. She always held my hand and then she took it to record. It was a beautiful gift. She came with lots of ideas. I stayed on point with the song, she took advantage of this day to get away and go for a walk in the meadow. She is free, she is a very intelligent woman. She always has a great idea. She’s funny, she’s very funny. And she’s my friend, I thank her very much”.
