Welcome » Sport » Marc Brys: “We will learn the lessons of this situation”
In a particular context, Cameroon conceded a sad draw against Namibia (0-0) this Wednesday on the occasion of the 5th day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers.
Marc Brys, the coach of the Indomitable Lions, was confident before the start of the match against Namibia. Despite the ups and downs, his goal was to win this meeting and continue moving forward.
“The conditions for playing the match were not ideal. Our warm-up was not good. It’s not that they don’t want to win. They are really hungry to win games. But if people don’t want to, we saw it directly. The players were aggressive in the way they played. The objective is to resist. In the 2nd half, we exchanged, they regained confidence. They played the 2nd half in a different way. The last 20 minutes were clearly for us. But as I say we have to be honest, there were more chances on their side. But they couldn’t tell the difference. It must be said when a footballer who has to play the next day at 6 p.m. is still on a plane, in an airport. It kills us just like them. We will learn the lessons of this situation which determines the result”confided the Belgian technician.
With ten points on the clock, the Indomitable Lions already had their ticket in their pocket before facing Namibia, Wednesday November 13, during the 5th day of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations. Cameroon only won a draw (0-0), but consolidated its first place in group J.
