Already hit hard at the end of October by deadly floods, the region of south-eastern Spain will still experience heavy rainfall.

After the deadly floods of October 29 and 30 which left at least 217 victims, the Valencia region was hit again this Wednesday by a cold drop.

The National Meteorological Agency updated its forecast at 6:20 p.m. this November 13, raising the alert to the red level until Thursday noon on the entire coast of the province of Valencia.

More than 180 l/m² could accumulate in four or five hours. The danger is extreme. Avoid travel. River overflows and flooding may occur.

Aemet anticipates accumulated precipitation along the entire coast of the province of Valencia of up to 180 mm in 12 hours most likely on the coast and, in some cases, in approximately 4 or 5 hours.

“Avoid travel. Rivers overflow and flooding may occur,” warn the weather services.

The orange level is maintained across the entire Castellón coast due to precipitation of between 40 and 60 mm in one hour until midnight today. In the rest of the Valencian Community, the yellow level is maintained.
