Togo Vs Liberia Confirmed Line Up , Preview

When Togo visits the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium on Wednesday night to play Liberia, they will be looking to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The hosts have one point after four rounds and have been eliminated from qualification, while the visitors are in third place in Group E with two points.

Last month, Liberia lost back-to-back matches against Equatorial Guinea in qualifying rounds three and four, prolonging their wait to make it back to the Africa Cup of Nations main draw.

Since the 2001–02 season, when they last advanced to the tournament proper but lost in the group stage, the Lone Stars have now missed out on qualifying for the AFCON in each of their ten previous efforts.

However, considering their recent performances elsewhere, such as in the CAF World Cup qualifications, where they are in third place in their group, only one point behind Namibia in second, and three behind group leaders Tunisia, their early relegation from this competition was rather shocking.

Furthermore, the Lone Stars defeated Sierra Leone in the opening round of the African Nations Championship qualifiers a few weeks ago under the direction of interim coach Thomas Kojo, so the three losses they have given up in this competition are the only ones they have suffered in their previous 11 games.

However, Liberia’s recent record at home has been somewhat dismal, as they have only won once in their last six games, drawing twice and losing three of the other five.
