A much colder air mass invades France. This allows a drop in temperatures in France. Are you going to experience frost?
Do you like wintery conditions? You will probably be satisfied over the next few hours and days. Indeed, the much fresher, even cold air is coming to France. Frosts are also expected. But what are the latest forecasts? Are you going to have to scrape your windshield before going to work?
Wake up fresh on Thursday
For the morning of tomorrow Thursday, the sky will still be quite cloudy over the northern half of France. This will make it more difficult for the mercury to fall. However, nocturnal clearings will be able to present themselves.
These latter will then promote a sharper drop in temperatures under shelter. In fact, we could have one or two small degrees towards the Centre-Val-de-Loire region or even Burgundy.
White frosts may then be observed, including in the departments further south. Of course, this risk remains localized and present in more open areas with very little or no wind.
On our reliefs, frosts are to be expected but nothing surprising not at this time of year either. Be careful however, the few snowfalls at the start of the week can still make the roads sometimes slippery.
Friday, a little colder
The nighttime clearings are expected to be a little more present for the night from Thursday to Friday. In fact, we will find more pronounced freshness including towards the northeast.
The values should remain slightly positive. However, small frosts are possible locally, especially in the countryside. Minimums close to 0°C are then possible compared to 2 to 7°C in cities.
On the Alpine massif, the small layers of snow will still hold on to the ground just like on the Central massif side. If you want to go near the big blue sea to have a little sweetness when you wake up, miss it! Here too the minimums will be decreasing, very frequently falling below 10°C.
Saturday: lowest minimums
To start the weekend, very calm weather is expected. Of the fogs may occur in particular over a large northern half. Be careful, these may turn out to be icing in many regions north of the Loire.
In fact, it is a cold morning which announces itself with a thermometer which will oscillate very often between -3°C and 1°C in the plains of northern France. Be careful if you have to take the road, although classic, these slightly humid conditions could make the roads locally slippery due to frost deposits.
The coldest areas should be observed towards Champagne-Ardenne, Lorraine but also in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region. Locally, the gray weather that will accompany this cold weather will have a little difficulty dissipating before the afternoon.
Between now and Sunday and the start of next week, a small increase in temperatures is expected. The presence of a more dynamic flow partly explains this upcoming “warmth”.
