Previously, a Metro user could only discount your trip with the balance in your City Account. Now, according to the Quito Cabildo, you can share the trip using the City Account, the QR from the application, the linked card or the Metro card from Quito.
With this, one account owner can take three guests on one ride on the Quito Metro. However, it is important to take into account that the benefit Does not apply to preferential rates; that is, for children, older adults and people with disabilities.
That is, the rate that applies for payment through this modality is 45 cents.
