Since Tuesday morning, minimum temperatures have been around 0°C over a large part of France. At issue: the phenomenon of the cold drop, which, this time, comes from Germany and has entered France.
There is no doubt that, like half of the French, you took out your down jackets and big coats to face the cold this morning.
Because as had been predicted by meteorologists: the phenomenon of the cold drop, which this time comes straight from Germany, has entered France. However, the low temperatures are not expected to last too long.
However, the drop in mercury should still affect a large part of France this Thursday, November 14, with minimum temperatures close to 0°C in places.
The Mediterranean arc spared
Météo-France forecasters even anticipate temperatures ranging from -2°C to 1°C, with “small white frosts possible in the north of Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées, in the Provençal hinterland, from Limousin and the Massif Central to Burgundy Franche-Comté and the south of the Grand-Est region. Elsewhere inland, morning temperatures should be between 2° and 6°C.
In the afternoon, maximum temperatures will be between 7°C and 11°C over a large northern half, as well as in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. According to Météo-France, it will be 12°C to 16°C in the South-West. The Mediterranean arc will be the most spared from this cold drop phenomenon, since it should be between 14 and 18°C.
From Friday, temperatures should rise and no longer be around 0°C, except in the east of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, where it should be 1°C in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
The cold drop will disappear completely next week, where temperatures should instead oscillate, between a mild mercury on certain days and very cool the next day.
