Rodrigue Petitot, known as “Le R”, was arrested by the police this Tuesday afternoon (November 12). This police custody follows his intrusion at the prefectural residence the day before. A complaint was filed in the morning concerning these facts.

Rodrigue Petitot was arrested by the police this Tuesday afternoon (November 12) at his home on Canal Alaric in Fort-de-. According to our information, the leader of the RPPRAC is currently being questioned by the police.

The arrest follows his intrusion into the prefectural residence located in the Didier district of Fort-de-France and his altercation with Jean-Christophe Bouvier, the prefect of the day before.

Following this stormy event, a complaint was filed against him.

As a reminder, according to the prefecture, four individuals, led by Rodrigue PETITOT, forced the security cordon which protected the entrance gate of the prefectural residence, home of the prefect, while he was receiving the island's elected officials on the occasion of the arrival in Martinique of the minister responsible for overseas territories.”

They wanted to enter the residence building, demanding to be immediately received by the minister.
