Jannik Sinner, number 1 in the world ranking, beat the American Taylor Fritz in his second match of the ATP Finals in Turin.
The score was 6-4 6-4. With this victory the Italian tennis player is getting closer to the semi-finals: next Thursday’s match against Daniil Medvedev will be decisive.
“It was a difficult match. He served very well and I could have served better. Now we are closer to the semi-final which was the goal this week. Let’s see how the next match goes, with Daniil (Medvedev, ed.) it will be again a very difficult match.” Jannik Sinner said it in an on-court interview after the challenge he won with Taylor Fritz at the ATP Finals in Turin. “Tomorrow I have a day of rest – he added – and we hope to be ready the day after tomorrow. What went well today? Especially in the important points I served very well, I’m happy with how I managed these situations”
