In a video shared on Netflix social networks, Adil Rami expressed all his resentment towards Jacques-Henri Eyraud, his former president at OM.
The hatchet is far from being buried. Questioned by Netflix as part of the promotion of the series “La Cage”, dedicated to MMA, Adil Rami said all the good things he thought of Jacques-Henri Eyraud, his president at OM between 2017 and 2019.
“Who would I enter the cage against? Jacques Henri Eyraud,” says the former French international defender. “I'm smashing him. Because I just don't like him.”
“The man I hate most in the world of football”
This is not the first time that the 2018 world champion has openly attacked his former leader, with whom he has been in conflict since his departure from Marseille. In the summer of 2019, Rami was dismissed for serious misconduct, with the club and Jacques-Henri Eyraud accusing him in particular of having made a return trip to the Fort Boyard set while he was injured in his heel. Rami has also taken the matter to the industrial tribunal to contest this rupture. In January 2022, his appeal was dismissed at first instance.
“Eyraud is the man I hate the most in the world of football,” Rami said a little over two years ago in the columns of The Team. “I don't want to walk with him, I don't want to meet him, shake his hand. These people have negative vibes and are dirtying football.” The 2019 episode is clearly still not digested.
