The son of US President-elect Donald Trump takes an anti-Ukrainian position. It is the same position as his father’s, according to Volodymyr Dubovyk, director of the Center for International Studies at Odesa National University.
“Yes, Donald Trump has long been consistently anti-Ukrainian. On the other hand, his position is based on the fact that he knows his father’s moods well,” he says.
According to him, this only confirms that those who said that the anti-Ukrainian rhetoric of Trump and his entourage was just a kind of pre-election maneuver were wrong.
“The election is over, and they won, but the rhetoric hasn’t gone away. Because it reflects their vision of the world, the role of the United States, and indifference to the fate of Ukraine, in particular,” Dubovyk says.
On November 9, Trump Jr. reposted a video with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Trump on Instagram stories, captioning it: “POV (point of view – ed.): You will lose your aid in 38 days.”
Supporters of Ukraine have found no place in the new Trump administration.
