There is gray which has covered the sky over a good part of northern France for many days. This is the case in Nantes or Rennes where a worrying disappearance alert has been launched to find traces of the sun, which has been missing for more than ten days. And then there is white which is making a comeback this Tuesday with the first snowfall expected in the mountains.

In its latest bulletin, Météo-France placed seven departments on yellow alert for snow and ice. This will be the case in the Pyrenees with the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Gers and Ariège which are part of the list as well as in the Alps with the departments with Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-de- Haute-Provence and the Alpes-Maritimes on alert since Tuesday morning.

Météo-France mentions “a rain-snow limit” from 1,000 meters above sea level in the Pyrenees and snowfall in the Southern Alps from 1,100 to 1,200 meters.
Heavy stormy rain is also expected during the day in Bouches-du-Rhône and Var, placed on alert for young rain-floods and thunderstorms, as well as in Corsica. “Notable accumulations could be observed in an area encompassing the Marseille region and the coastal part of the Var,” specifies Météo-France.
