MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – We have more sunshine in the forecast today, but temperatures will be a little cooler. High-pressure will dominate the weather around here today. It is located centered over northern Wisconsin as of this morning.
What’s Coming Up…
As that ridge drifts off to the east of here today, we will see wind shifting to southeasterly. That will eventually allow a little bit milder air to push in as we move through the remainder of this week.
The ridge will also bring a little sunshine for the first part of tomorrow, but clouds are expected to quickly increase during the early morning as low pressure moves in from the west. We will then get into chances of rain, especially west of Madison by the afternoon.
Looking Ahead…
Much of southern Wisconsin will see scattered showers arriving late Wednesday afternoon and into Wednesday night. As low pressure moves away from us, showers will come to an end sometime early Thursday.
Sunshine will be back in the picture for Friday and into Saturday with a warming trend. High temperatures will be in the mid 50s both Friday and Saturday with middle to upper 50s for highs on Sunday. We get back into slight chances of precipitation later in the weekend with a little better chance arriving Monday of next week.
