Donald Trump intends to nominate Congresswoman Elise Stefanik as US Ambassador to the United Nations. Stefanik is considered a loyal supporter of Trump.

Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, has announced his intention to nominate Republican congresswoman Elise Stefanik as ambassador to the United Nations in New York. Stefanik, who is 40 years old, has distinguished herself in recent years as one of Trump’s most loyal supporters. Among other things, she has endorsed his unfounded claims of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump announced his decision in statements that he sent to the New York Post and the television station CBS, among others. He praised Stefanik as strong and intelligent and emphasized that America comes first for her.

However, before Stefanik can take up her post as UN ambassador, she must be confirmed by the US Senate. In the recent elections, Trump’s Republicans were able to recapture the majority in this chamber of parliament from the Democrats.
