The hype about Dubai chocolate is entering the next round: After the first 100 bars were sold in Düsseldorf on November 9th, it turns out that it wasn’t just chocolate fans or trendsetters who were waiting in line.
Because as “Bild” writes, the first panels appeared on Ebay just a few hours after the start of sales – at a whopping price of up to 350 euros (around 330 francs).
The coveted pistachio chocolate bars can still be found on Ebay and other platforms with prices of up to 250 euros (230 francs). For comparison: The hyped Dubai chocolate is available in a limited edition in selected Lindt & Sprüngli Germany branches at a price of 14.99 euros (around 14 francs).
The price is also set similarly high in Switzerland: in this country, a bar should cost 14.95 francs. However, the asking prices on Ebay are up to 23 times as expensive.
Particularly exciting: If you search for flights from Zurich to Dubai in November on booking platforms, you will find connections with stopovers that are cheaper than the Dubai chocolate on eBay.
