Thanks to their victory in Scotland, South Africa regained the lead in the World Rugby rankings. The Boks took advantage of the Irish's defeat at home against the All Blacks. The XV of France is still fourth.
The World Rugby rankings changed a lot this weekend! This November 11, 2024, it is South Africa which can boast of being in first place. The Boks won in Scotland this Sunday (3-32 p.m.). Before kick-off, the two-time world champions knew they would lead the way if successful at Murrayfield. A throne recovered after the Irish setback against New Zealand (13-23). The XV of Clover has also lost two places since it is the All Blacks who are the new runners-up to Eben Etzebeth and his own.
Note that the French XV is the only selection which has not moved after this weekend of international rugby. The Blues are still fourth after their big victory against Japan (52-12).
England seventh, Welsh eleventh
They didn't just lose one game this weekend. Beaten by Australia and Fiji, the XV de la Rose and the XV du Poireau did not score points in the World Rugby rankings. England are now seventh while the Welsh are still eleventh. For other lessons, Australia and Fiji overtook Italy.
