Christopher Nkunku is edging closer to leaving Chelsea, possibly at the end of the season.
Christopher Nkunku (26 years old) has had a remarkable start to the season with already 10 goals in all competitions for Chelsea. However, six of these goals came in the UEFA Europa Conference League. In the Premier League, the former striker RB Leipzigwho has just returned to the French team, only played 152 minutes so far and has only started once.
This situation is beginning to raise questions about its future at Chelsea. According to Sky Sports Germanyremains focused for the moment on his role at the club and is not considering leaving this winter. But if his playing time doesn't improve, a departure next summer could become an option.
After signing at Chelsea for 52 million in 2022, Nkunku has had a mixed life in London. His first season had started well. But on August 8, 2023 he had to undergo ae operation for a knee injury sustained during a pre-season match. He was sidelined for an extended period, thus depriving him of the start of the 2024-2025 season.
He currently has ten goals this season, but they have mostly been scored in cup competitions and the Europa Conference league.
