On the occasion of the new play A delicate situation in which she plays alongside Gérard Darmon, Clotilde Courau spoke at the microphone of RFM in the show 1 hour with… with Bernard Montiel, this Sunday, November 10. The actress who spoke about her status as Duchess of Savoy and Princess of Venice also spoke about the mourning of her friend Michel Blanc, who died on October 4. Just like Gérard Jugnot did in the same show on Saturday November 9, Clotilde Courau had some tender words for the Splendid actor.

While Bernard Montiel pointed out to her that he was sitting right behind her at the funeral of the eternal Jean-Claude Dusse, the actress spoke of their collaboration on the film The Grand Dukes (1996), but also with Kiss whoever you want (2002), directed by Michel Blanc. The 55-year-old actress paid him a beautiful tribute: “He also loved singular beings, was singular himself, he had difficult times precisely because in his singularity we could not put him in a box. He was a great director, an extremely sensitive, extremely funny, extremely touching man.she said before concluding. I loved Michel infinitely and he was very important in my life.

Clotilde Courau “locked in” in her princess status after her marriage?

In 2003, the actress married Prince Emmanuel-Philibert of Savoy. This union earned her the title of Duchess of Savoy and Princess of Venice. Clotilde Courau talks about how she experienced the change in her outlook on herself after her marriage: “I think people locked me away [dans une case].” She explains that she was not surprised by this scenario: “We put people in boxes… We are in the communitarianism of things, we see it, we all suffer from it, but sometimes, we are so afraid of going to somewhere else, that it's so dizzying, that we tends to self-destruct or self-censor.”
