The evening following the Berloz tragedy, which cost the life of a 4-year-old child, information is still unclear on what exactly happened. Here’s what we know so far
A lot of information circulated during the afternoon about the infanticide in Berloz. For the moment, the Liège public prosecutor’s office refuses to communicate, because too much vagueness still surrounds this tragic story.
What we know this evening is that the couple in their forties has no criminal record. The police tell us about a family dispute over infidelity. This afternoon, the child’s mother was arrested near Visé, 50 kilometers from the house. It was the Basse-Meuse zone which intercepted it.
She was questioned and her speech diverges from that of her companion. Investigators are therefore confronted this evening with two diametrically opposed versions.
The child’s body was recovered around 6 p.m. ago, in the house. His autopsy will be decisive, since it will allow the time of death to be determined.
The prosecution is expected to speak this Monday during the day.
