Now, three days after the events, the Dutch government said it had taken up the case and investigators are trying to reconstruct this evening of violence.

It is therefore in this context that the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, announced on his X account that he had canceled his visit to COP 29 which is to take place in Azerbaijan from November 11 to 22, 2024.
“At COP29, I will be replaced by a climate envoy from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Jaime de Bourbon de Parme. Minister Sophie Hermans of Climate and Green Growth, among others, is also present on behalf of the cabinet“, he clarified.
