Carlos Prates earns bonus of R$ 285 thousand for Performance at UFC Vegas

Carlos Prates had a true gala night this Saturday (9). In his first main fight in the UFC, the Brazilian took no notice of Neil Magny and delivered a devastating knockout to the American in the first round. In addition to confirming his potential in the company with a hitherto unprecedented role, the welterweight prospect (77 kg) left Las Vegas (USA) with his pockets full. After all, the 'Fighting Nerds' athlete was one of those awarded the event's 'Performance of the Night' bonus.

Therefore, Carlos pocketed an amount of 50 thousand dollars (R$ 285 thousand). The news was released by the organization itself, through social media, after UFC Vegas 100 (see below or click here). And the victory, knockout and bonus combo is nothing new for the Brazilian. Interestingly, in all four of his Ultimate fights so far, the striker from Taubaté (SP) shone, made his rivals kiss the canvas and won the Performance of the Night award.

Trio is also included

In addition to Carlos Prates, a highlight of UFC Vegas 100, three other athletes who shined on the card also took home the Performance of the Night bonus. Mansur Abdul-Malik, Charles Radtke and Da'Mon Blackshear were the other recipients of the extra prize. Interestingly or not, the trio won their respective fights on the show via the fast track (submission or knockout).
