In a worrying turn of events for the Brazil national team, alarms have been sounded as key players Eder Militao and Rodrygo sustained injuries during Real Madrid’s clash with Osasuna, just days before their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay.
Within just half an hour of the match, both players were forced to leave the pitch due to different injuries, with Militao’s injury appearing to be the more serious of the two.
Rodrygo felt a sharp pain in his left leg as the ball was passed to him and immediately fell to the ground, showing clear signs of pain and discomfort on his face.
Shortly after, around the 30-minute mark, Militao tried to head the ball but landed awkwardly, driving his knee into the ground, and his scream could be heard echoing throughout the Santiago Bernabéu.
The defender was taken off the field on a stretcher, and fears are growing regarding the severity of his condition, as footage shows the harsh movement in his knee.
