Dutch police are analyzing videos posted on social networks regarding the events in Amsterdam last Thursday night, while the government is investigating the possibility of warning signals coming from Israel before the events.
Clashes broke out with Israeli fans after some of them tore down Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian slogans.
Dutch media quoted a police official as saying that the police are working to identify those involved in these acts, although the process is complex and requires a long time.
The official added that the police are determined to know the identities of the people who appeared in these videos and have formed a special team to collect evidence from surveillance cameras in the city and elsewhere.
investigation
On the other hand, Dutch Justice Minister David van Wiel said in a letter to Parliament that the government is conducting an investigation into the possibility of warning signs coming from Israel that were not heeded related to the events that led to attacks on Israeli football fans last week.
10 Israelis were injured during an attack by supporters of the Palestinian cause, which came in response to fans of the Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv football team wreaking havoc, acts of sabotage, and tearing down Palestinian flags in Amsterdam.
The violence broke out despite a ban on the pro-Palestinian demonstration near the football stadium imposed by Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema, who feared clashes would break out between demonstrators and fans of the Israeli football club.
Police said on Saturday that 4 people remained in custody out of a total of 63 people who were initially arrested.
Van Wel said, the Public Prosecution confirmed that it aims to implement speedy justice as much as possible, adding that the absolute priority is to identify each suspect.
He indicated that the investigation would also examine whether the attacks were organized, motivated by anti-Semitism.
