An unexpected appearance! This Thursday, November 7, some residents of Brignoles had the chance to meet George Clooney, also a resident of this small town in Var since 2021, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Cinéma Liberté. The 63-year-old actor, accompanied by Didier Brémond, the city's mayor, spoke during the evening. On stage, Amal Clooney's husband thanked the Brignolais for their welcome and their discretion since their move: “One of the reasons my wife and I and our children spend time here is because of you. We were welcomed into this community because of your kindness.“
During this evening, George Clooney posed with many neighbors, confided in his friend Brad Pitt when some asked him about Shiloh Jolie's father. “Everyone wants Brad. Everyone always asks for Brad. He's very old,” he declared with humor. At the microphone of Nice-Morningthe star discussed a more serious and topical subject: Donald Trump's victory in the American presidential election: “Sometimes it's not the person you want. The good news is that democracy always wins, we will continue to live and present a candidate another day.” An hour later, it was at the wheel of his Fiat 500 that Ella and Alexander's father returned to his property. “I’m going home otherwise my wife will kill”he confides before hitting the gas.

George Clooney installed in the Var: zoom on their magnificent bastide
Since 2021, George and Amal Clooney are the happy owners of a sublime 18th century country house, located on the Canadel estate. This residence comprising 172 hectares, a tastefully renovated house and vineyards as far as the eye can see, cost them nearly eight million euros. The house itself has an area of 900 square meters and is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and a pine forest. The huge grounds also include a swimming pool, a lawn tennis court, and even a small lake. A heavenly exterior that allows their twins Ella and Alexander to regularly go quad biking and go horse riding. Happiness can indeed be found in the south of France!
