As part of the National Day Against Bullying at School, on Thursday, November 7, the schoolboy ambassadors of the cause did not fail to mobilize within the André-Lahaye establishment in Andernos, under under the leadership of their principal education advisor, Claire Jacob.
These students, elected to the College Life Council (CVC), have imagined various activities to make their classmates aware of the notion of harassment. Among these activities, a wall of expression was installed at the home, allowing students to place stickers and leave messages on their vision of harassment. “Every year, we mobilize the entire educational community around this worrying phenomenon. Here, we have many students who are involved in transmitting messages, helping, supporting and accompanying their classmates. Their actions have made it possible to reduce cases of harassment: four years ago, we had around a dozen cases per year, today, thanks to them, there are around four to five,” explains Claire Jacob.

For each case reported, the Phare protocol (a prevention plan dictated by the Ministry of Education) is put in place: the student is listened to by the educational staff, the social worker or the nurse, and actions are taken. carried out with bullies to calm the situation and relieve the student concerned. “Today, we are going into classes to promote no to bullying. I am mobilizing because it hurts to see that a student cannot come to school because he is harassed. It’s too unfair,” says Amandine Ducher, an ambassador. “I was harassed for six years, so I didn't want it to happen again to anyone else. I wanted to become an ambassador to help others not to suffer,” adds Marthe Maconde de Lagenis, another ambassador. There is therefore strong mobilization within André Lahaye College to fight against harassment and support students.
