All the events in slow motion during this fourth day of the Europa League. The test of the Bulgarian whistleblower Georgi Kabakov has been analysed
First Half
—
After 4 minutes, the first yellow of the match: Gigot’s intervention on Eustachio was late. The Frenchman hits first the shin and then the foot of the Porto player: the yellow is sacrosanct, but the feeling is that Kabakov has pardoned the biancocelesti’s 2. Not even 10 minutes later, Porto with Namaso equalizes the score of the yellows: his head-leg intervention which hits only Guendouzi is clearly late. Also in this case the decision of the Bulgarian referee is impeccable. In the 28th minute Zaccagni was also booked: sanctioned for a perhaps careless slide but which first hit the ball and then the Porto player. The oversight in this case lies with the second assist Valkov who immediately flaunts and calls Kabakov back. After 60° Omorodion equalizes the score for the yellows: naive in exaggerating with the protests after the report of an evident foul on Tchaouna. Extremely physical match, 10 fouls were called by the match director in the first 35 minutes of the game. In fact, in the 39th minute another yellow card arrives for Porto: the former Udinese player Nehuen Perez is booked and in an attempt to anticipate Zaccagni he hits only the Biancoceleste captain. Harsh intervention and on man: yellow right. Djalò is also in full recovery: a very extreme intervention with a straight leg and a hammer foot. Kabakov, however, only opts for the warning.
Second Half
—
The referee’s approach does not change, as he whistled a lot at the start of the second half but missed 2 clear fouls against Lazio at the edge of the away area. Kabakov’s whistles were many and repeated but he didn’t give any more warnings until the 65th minute. Nothing to note on the occasion of Eustaquio’s equalizing goal. The first yellow of the second half came in the 81st minute: Guendouzi was booked for a blatant hold. Pepe booked in full injury time.
