William Boeva is the new candidate tonight in ‘The Smartest Person in the World’. In a preview we see that he talks honestly about his obsessive-compulsive disorder on which his new comedy show is based.
William Boeva (35) is the newcomer in ‘The Smartest Person in the World’ on Thursday evening. He is competing against two strong candidates: actress Daphne Agten (34) and stand-up comedian Roosje Pertz (41). It is the second time that the comedian participates in the quiz. In 2013 he already proved that he is a formidable opponent, because he lasted three episodes.
Excuse
Afterwards we saw William appear in the jury and now he takes his seat again in the iconic seats. In a preview we see him talking about his obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), on which his latest comedy show ’13’ is based. “I struggled very hard with that,” he says. ‘At a certain point I was working so hard on this that I thought: I’m going to have to make a performance about this. People saw me doing strange things on the street, now I have an excuse.’
When Erik asks what that means, William says that he sometimes returns ten times to see if the door is locked or steps over the same stone over and over again. He is also afraid of the number 13, after which the presenter scares him for a moment: ‘Do you know how many episodes this is?’. Luckily for William it is the sixteenth. “I think that’s the second most annoying number,” he laughs.
You can see ‘The Smartest Person in the World’ from Monday to Thursday at 9:15 PM on Play4 and via Goplay.
