After separating from her fiancé Diego El Glaoui last May, Iris Mittenaere found love in the arms of a certain Bruno Pelat, aged 22 and son of Olivier Pelat, real estate developer, founder of the Euroequipments group. But, on September 25, the beauty queen filed a complaint against him for domestic violence. This Wednesday, November 6, the two exes therefore found themselves at the Paris court as part of the trial following the filing of a complaint by Iris Mittenaere. But, during the hearing, the ex-fiancé of Miss France 2016 found himself, despite himself, involved in the affair.
After the beauty queen's lawyer, Maître Brueziere, requested a closed session, due to “notoriety” of the young woman, Maître D’Ollone, Bruno Pelat’s lawyer, revealed that he had in his possession an audio of Diego El Glaoui. In this audio, the latter “reproach to Iris to wrongly accuse him of domestic violence” according to information from Figaro TV Magazine. A tense exchange between the two parties, before the closed session is declared so that “speech can be free”, in the words of the president.

The day after the hearing, the verdict was announced. Bruno Pelat was therefore sentenced to 12 years in prison, including six months in prison, as revealed BFM TV. Despite this conviction, the 22-year-old young man will be able to serve his sentence outside of prison since he was granted a two-year probationary reprieve, prohibiting him from having contact with Iris Mittenaere. Bruno Pelat had already been sentenced in 2022 for violence and threats against his father, as well as for acts of violence against another former partner in April 2023. During his confrontation with the authorities following the complaint filed by the Queen of beauty, he would have declared that he was in a form of psychological distress, suffering from “abandonment and impulsivity syndrome”.
