Civil police officers from the 1st Police Station of Cruz Alta arrested a swindler who carried out the fake PIX scam in Ijuí and other cities in the region. According to PC Cruzalta, the man was approached during the afternoon of this Wednesday, 6th, in Ijuí. The action also had the support of agents from the Ijuí Civil Police.
The 29-year-old individual was arrested preventively and is accused of committing several frauds in commerce in Cruz Alta, Ijuí, Ajuricaba and Catuípe. After investigations, the Cruz Alta Police Station represented the arrest of the suspect. In view of this fact, he was detained while he presented himself to give a statement at the DP in Ijuí. The scam consisted of purchasing products in local stores with payment made through false transfers via PIX. The case remains under investigation.
