He notably hit his head against a wall: the ex-companion of Iris Mittenaere sentenced to six months in prison

Thursday November 7, 2024, Bruno Pelat, former companion of Iris Mittenaere, was convicted of domestic violence against the former Miss and Miss Universe.

During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, Iris Mittenaere's ex-companion, Bruno Pelat, was sentenced to one year in prison, including six months suspended, for domestic violence.

The 22-year-old man was on trial by the criminal court for having hit the former miss on the evening of September 25, as well as for having banged her head against a wall and for having threatened to make her lose her professional contracts. His prison sentence will be served at home under an electronic bracelet with an obligation to provide care and a ban on contacting Iris Mittenaere and going near her home.

The former miss's lawyer had obtained from the court that the proceedings take place behind closed doors to preserve the privacy of her client. Bruno Pelat should have been tried in immediate appearance on September 27 at the end of his police custody but the hearing was postponed at the request of Ms. Mittenaere, who claimed not to be “in psychological capacity” to come

Already convicted for similar acts

The young man had already been sentenced in June 2022 for violence and death threats against his father, then in April 2023 for violence against another partner.

Iris Mittenaere, former Miss -Pas-de- 2015, was crowned Miss France 2016 then Miss Universe the same year. She is now an influencer and television host.
