Flavie, 21, candidate for the show L'Amour est dans le pré, learned during the filming of the M6 program that she has cancer. The young woman underwent chemotherapy alongside her love affair with Valentin. She chose to show her fight, to do prevention.
“I had been operated on for a tumor analyzed as benign before participating in the show”told Flavie, candidate for season 19 of L’Amour est dans le pré, at the Parisian.
After her stay with Valentin in Normandy, the young woman was called back by the doctors to make an emergency appointment. “I had sarcoma, she explains to our colleagues. I collapsed.”
In the thirteenth episode of the program, broadcast next Monday on M6, Flavie talks about the cancer she was diagnosed with with Karine Le Marchand. The young Breton confided to him that she had started a treatment of more than five months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The twenty-year-old is not yet in remission but awaiting results.
“To say that life goes on”
The announcement of Flavie's illness was a shock for Gabriella Mather, producer of the M6 show.
The Breton woman chose to continue filming and talk about her illness in front of the cameras. “Continuing the show meant that life goes on”she maintained when she had to shave her head due to the side effects of the treatments, reports TV Magazine/ Le Figaro.
Speaking about her story in front of the cameras, Flavie wants to do prevention: “Trust yourself and go see a doctor if you have doubts about your health. Even young, no one is safe”she confided to TV Magazine.
