There was a medical emergency in the stands of the Allianz Arena. After an emergency medical intervention, FC Bayern fans stopped providing support.

Update from November 6th, 10:27 p.m.: As a reporter reported in the “Sportschau” radio conference, a man died in the Allianz Arena. The rescue workers’ attempts at resuscitation were therefore unsuccessful. However, this report has not yet been confirmed – neither by FC Bayern nor by UEFA. The Munich fire department also commented at the request of IPPEN.MEDIA initially not to the exit of the emergency medical service.

At the request of Sport-Informationsdienstes (SID) FC Bayern confirmed during half-time that a person had to be resuscitated several times and transported away under resuscitation. The operation took place at the entrance to block 226 in the middle tier, in the right corner above the south curve.

After a good half hour of play, one of the lead singers (capo) made an announcement via microphone in the south curve to inform the fans. All flags were then rolled up and support was finally stopped.

“Club No. 12”, an FC Bayern fan club, has already written an emotional obituary on Facebook. “Dear Bayern fans, due to an emergency medical intervention, the south curve will not be supported as usual today. Life trumps sport. We wish the relatives a lot of strength.” Numerous Bayern fans expressed their condolences in the post.

First report from November 6th: Munich – Nobody wants to see scenes like this: There was an emergency medical intervention in the stands of the Allianz Arena during FC Bayern’s Champions League game against Benfica Lisbon. At the start of the game it was noticeably quiet in the stadium, Bayern’s south corner remained silent.

Numerous rescue workers were seen in the stands. FC Bayern announced: “Due to a medical emergency in the stands, there are currently no fan chants from Bayern supporters.” How Sport1 and Bild According to consistent reports, the suspected injured person was brought out of the block on a stretcher in the middle of the first half. Afterwards there was still no support. Stewards shielded the incident with a black tarpaulin.
