Tonight at 9:00 PM Feyenoord and RB Salzburg kick off for the fourth match in the Champions League. Trainer Brian Priske has made the necessary changes for the Rotterdam team, partly due to an injury to Julián Carranza. Feyenoord now has three injured strikers, meaning Ibrahim Osman starts at the point of attack and youth player Zepiqueno Redmond is on the bench.
Timon Wellenreuther starts under the bar on behalf of Feyenoord at the kick-off. Although it was all a bit unclearly communicated by the stadium club, it is clear that the medical staff did not think it was wise to also put Justin Bijlow in goal against RB Salzburg. This means that the German will return after just one match. Wellenreuther quickly processed a mental blow and Brian Priske expects a top performance from his goalkeeper.
In the line in front of him, Wellenreuther sees a defense formed with Jordan Lotomba as right back. He returns to the starting lineup after being out for a while due to an injury. Gernot Trauner can also compete against the club from his home country, with Dávid Hancko next to him. At left back, the undisputed Hugo Bueno will kick off again.
In midfield, Luka Ivanusec gets the chance to prove himself in the 'ten position'. In-Beom Hwang and Quinten Timber will support him in this. Priske also had to make a surprising choice in attack. Julián Carranza is not in the match selection, so Ibrahim Osman starts as striker. Bart Nieuwkoop is the right winger.
