Right before the Champions League match in which Red Star and Barcelona are playing at the “Rajko Mitić” stadium, it was really “alive” in front of a Belgrade hotel.
Wherever Barcelona plays, it is followed by thousands of its supporters. However, Belgrade is an exception – and the reason for that is the UEFA penalty, which “Novosti” already reported to you about.
However, although there is no usual, massive, organized arrival of Barça fans for the mentioned reason, the fans of this sports giant still gathered in front of the hotel where the football collective is housed – and all in the hope of getting a joint photo or autograph.
And among them, “Novosti” noticed guys who delighted many.
They are from Russia, and although Russians who come to Belgrade for football usually support Red Star (especially if they are supporters of their “brother” Spartak from Moscow) or Partizan (which CSKA Moscow fans support in turn) … they came to they cheer – for Barcelona.
Nevertheless, they delighted everyone present in front of the hotel because they had a Russian flag on which, along with the inscription “Penja blaugrana – Russian Bears” in even bigger letters, on the lower, red third of the tricolor, was written:
“Russians and Serbs brothers forever”.
Here’s how it was in front of the hotel where the FC Barcelona expedition stayed:
When Zvezda and Barcelona play, who broadcasts?
As a reminder, you can follow the broadcast of the Red Star – Barcelona match live on the “Novosti” portal.
Champions League – table, competition system
By the way, Barca is only 15th in the table of the new Champions League, with two wins and one loss (six points, goal difference 10:3), and Zvezda is 33rd in the competition of 36 clubs – it has three defeats from three competitive appearances and goal difference 2:11.
Only last-place Slovan scored more goals than Zvezda in the Champions League (goal-difference 2:15), and only Borussia Dortmund scored more goals than Barcelona, 13 (with six conceded). At the top of the table with a maximum of 12 points is Liverpool, followed by Sporting and Monaco with 10 each, and the aforementioned Borussia and Aston Villa with nine each.
The eight best-placed teams go directly to the knockout stage, those from 9th to 24th place will enter a kind of “barrage”, and everyone below that position will be eliminated.
All tickets for the match with Zvezda – Barcelona are sold out
“This didn’t happen a long time ago when the stadium was sold out like this. And surely if we had a capacity of 150,000, surely everything would be sold. There have been no tickets for days. Many people, especially from the region, from Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, wanted to buy tickets and to watch Barcelona first of all. I think we successfully avoided that, because we wanted to have good energy, a good atmosphere, to have Red Star fans in the stadium,” Zvezda General Manager Terzić pointed out.
