On November 5, at the ÉquipHotel trade fair, Thierry Marx, president of Umih, presented the organization's new visual identity. This redesign, marked by a significant change of logo, embodies a desire for modernization, but also for unity.
A symbolic transition
The pyramid, emblem of the stability and solidity of the Umih for many years, has given way to a refined logo, containing only the letters of the union. A « metamorphosis »in the words of Thierry Marx, who is pleased to no longer have “mortuary symbol” in the visual identity of the organization. “The pyramid of Cheops is above all a tomb… However, we want a symbol of renewal, vitality and future, and not a reminder of the past or of something fixed, this is the commitment of my mandate” , he pointed out.
The new Umih logo thus takes a contemporary graphic direction. With modern lines and a choice of bright colors, the logo aims to convey the energy, innovation and diversity of the professions that the union brings together.
This change in visual identity is not only aesthetic: it reflects a renewed commitment to supporting members in a constantly changing sector. “This new logo is a bit like a flag under which we bring together all professionals in the sector to move forward together. It expresses our desire for renewal and our commitment to defending the interests of the professions that we represent”Marx said during the presentation.
A new platform
In parallel with the presentation of its logo, Umih also announced the launch of its new website, umih.fr. It is designed to provide a smoother user experience and easier access to essential resources for industry professionals. “Our members have their heads in the handlebars, we thus give them clear, more precise information, we want to be a force for proposals and not only for protest”, explained the president. A mobile application will also be implemented in 2025. “We have real strength in the region, so we must be reactive, keep up with current events,” he added.
He also recalled being guided by the idea that the hospitality sector must not only survive challenges, but overcome them to reinvent itself and prosper. Mid-term, the president took the opportunity to assure that he would tackle all the problems, recalling that the Umih is an independent body. “File by file, we will get rid of the problem, we do not depend on any authority, he clarified. I never hammer points on the table, but I always defend our cases to the end. »
