The game in the fourth round of the Champions League phase that pits Sporting Clube de Portugal against Manchester City, at the José Alvalade stadium, in Lisbon, this Tuesday, is considered a “risky event, with a capacity of approximately 35,000 people”, according to the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the Public Security Police (PSP).

The PSP will carry out a security operation, with the action starting on Tuesday morning, “involving the monitoring of parking and car circulation”, although the official opening time for doors is at 6 pm.

The PSP states that there will be “momentary restrictions on vehicle traffic”, highlighting:

On Rua Professor Fernando da Fonseca, from 5:30 pm, when visiting fans leave from the Telheiras Metropolitano de Lisboa station to the José Alvalade stadium and at 10:00 pm when they return, also to the Metropolitano station mentioned above.

Added to these are the normal constraints resulting from the flow of traffic, as well as on Avenida Padre Cruz when the teams arrive at the José Alvalade stadium.

For this event, a police device “understood as appropriate to the circumstances” will be highlighted, which includes several aspects of the PSP.
