Drama in Franche-Comté. This Tuesday, early in the afternoon, a man died after being shot in Lorscourt in Doubs while he was driving. A woman was injured in a road accident resulting from the shooting that occurred moments earlier, says France Blue. An investigation was opened for assassination.
“We never have drama like this”
The events took place between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., at rue de Berne. During the day Paul-Édouard Lallois, public prosecutor of Montbéliard, visited the scene and held a press conference giving more details on the tragedy.
“A man was seen in the middle of the roadway with a handgun in his hand and fired several times, in the direction of the driver of this vehicle.”he explained.

The latter explains that the victim “managed to flee, ran several hundred meters and ended up on a sidewalk”. It was during this escape that he “partially hit a vehicle in its path, involuntarily”. “This is clearly an execution”deplores Paul-Édouard Lallois.
“The victim tried to chase her attacker and hit another car. The police commissioner called me back a few minutes later to tell me that she had died”details Daniel Buchwalder, mayor of the Franche-Comté commune, still in shock. “We never have a tragedy of this type, everyone is upset. It should not be something that will spread, like everywhere in France”he added.
For the moment, an investigation has been opened for assassination and investigations are continuing in order to shed light on this tragedy.
