Whatever its outcome, this 2024 presidential election is already the most contested in United States history. Since March, the Republican National Committee has filed hundreds of legal challenges against voting and election procedures in key states. Scalded by the precedent of 2020, the Democratic Party has also assembled an army of lawyers to fight possible appeals from the Republican camp in each state.
