Ruben Van Gucht is often in the eye of the storm due to rumors of infidelity. In ‘The House’ he now admits that he has other relationships besides his wife Blanka Vlasic.

Barely two weeks ago, commentator Ruben Van Gucht expressed his frustration about the many “troubles” who interfere with his life. “I’ve had it completely,” Van Gucht said at Radio2.

In ‘The House’ Van Gucht is now open about his unconventional family situation with the Croatian Blanka Vlasic. In the spring of 2022, Van Gucht married Vlasic, with whom he also has a son Mondo.

“I have a wife who takes incredibly good care of my son. She is okay with me living in Belgium. I also have ambitions and bills to pay here. Blanka is strong in her head and we call every day. Everyone is happy with how we are taking care of things now,” says Van Gucht.

Van Gucht about open marriage with Vlasic

Van Gucht also admits that in addition to his marriage to Vlasic, he has other relationships in Belgium. “I want everyone to have their own type of relationship. I have a life in Belgium and Croatia, also relationally. I don’t like to put terms on it.”

Vlasic has also had other partners. “That has already happened. And that’s okay. It would be very arrogant if I said: ‘I should have complete freedom, but what you do is not possible,'” says Van Gucht.

Van Gucht also discussed with Vlasic that he is so open in ‘Het Huis’. “I said, I think it’s helpful, but I need your blessing. She’s part of my life. If I do something, it impacts her too.”
