The number
7
If the Lensois only lost by one goal against PSG, they can largely thank Brice Samba. The international goalkeeper made 7 saves, his personal best in Ligue 1.
The counter-performance: Monaco falls against Angers
Four days before their trip to Bologna in the Champions League, the Monegasques lost to Angers (0-1). ASM – who had to wait until the 55th minute before scoring – thus signed a second consecutive defeat after that against Nice and left Paris six points ahead at the top of Ligue 1.
The man in shape: Evann Guessand (Nice)
Author of six league goals last season, Evann Guessand has already matched his performance this season. The Ivorian international is definitely the man in form on the Nice side since he has scored in the last three Ligue 1 matches. The Gym's only scorer against Brest with a shot under the bar, he allowed Franck Haise's men to to return to fifth place.
The right operation: Marseille takes the runner-up position
Beaten sharply by PSG a week before, Marseille was able to react on Sunday against Nantes (1-2) thanks to goals from Maupay and Greenwood. Taking advantage of the poor operations of Monaco – beaten by Angers – and the draw between Lille and Lyon (1-1), OM moved back to second place in the ranking, 6 points behind the leader.
The statement: Ibrahim Sissoko (ASSE)
“These are moments that we must take advantage of because we are going through difficult times, so the moments of joy that bring us together bring a lot of pride for everyone.”
Ibrahim Sissoko, one of the two Saint-Etienne scorers, after ASSE's success on Saturday against Strasbourg (2-0).

The shipwreck: Rennes takes a slap at Auxerre
Rennes' fifth defeat in the league could well be fatal for their coach Julien Stéphan. At Abbé-Deschamps the Bretons took a lesson in realism through Auxerre. Gaëtan Perrin first scored twice in the first half, while Sinayoko and Onaiwu worsened the score in the second half.
Already in difficulty after a sluggish start to the season, Julien Stéphan could well pay the price for this new setback. “I have courage, I have the desire to work and make progress. It’s not my responsibility,” replied the Rennes coach to a question about his possible ouster.
