A brand-new patch for the PlayStation 5 Pro is live and aims to target two much-loved titles.

Despite the PlayStation 5 Pro not set to go on sale until 7 November, two PlayStation exclusives have already received major patches ahead of their move over to the brand-new console.

Check out our gameplay preview of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 below!

It is Insomniac Games that is set to get the enhancements with titles Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart receiving graphical toggles.

This will allow players to customise their experience if they happen to boot up either of these games on the PS5 Pro.

Going live earlier today, the patches introduce new Performance Pro and Fidelity Pro modes, which put simply, will allow both games to hit 60FPS with the same graphical quality as the Standard Fidelity mode whilst maintaining ray-tracing.

Additionally, players can opt for 30fps which can also be adjusted to achieve a higher frame rate whilst using VRR and 120Hz Display mode.

For Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the new ray-tracing features include RT Reflections and RT Ambient Occlusion.

For Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players will be able to enjoy RT Light Shadows, RT Reflections and Interiors, and RT Ambient Occlusion.

It is hard to believe that this game could look any prettier but that is definitely going to be possible thanks to these PS5 Pro patches.

Ahead of the launch of Sony’s brand-new console, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered and Alan Wake 2 have also received patches so we can only assume this trend will continue over the next few months.

In related news, if you are still on the lookout for the base PlayStation 5 but don’t want to shell out on its steep price tag, you can try your hand with this epic giveaway.
