The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that the first day of Jumada al-Awwal 1446 AH will be the day after tomorrow, Monday, November 4, 2024 AD.
The Ministry stated, in a report, that it observed the crescent of the month of Jumada al-Awwal for the year 1446 AH, after sunset today, Saturday, Rabi` al-Akhir 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to November 2, 2024 AD, and it was confirmed to it that its sighting had not been confirmed.
The following is the text of the ministry’s statement:
“The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs informs male and female citizens that it observed the crescent of the month of Jumada al-Awwal for the year 1446 AH, after sunset on Saturday, Rabi’ al-Akhir 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to November 2, 2024 AD. She contacted all representatives of Islamic affairs in the Kingdom, and the units of the Royal Armed Forces contributing to monitoring the crescent moon, and they all assured her that its sighting had not been confirmed.
Accordingly, the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir will have completed thirty days, and the beginning of the month of Jumada al-Awwal will be Monday, November 4, 2024 AD.
