The player: David first decisive then erased

As against Real Madrid (1-0) and Atlético de Madrid (3-1) in C1, Jonathan David was once again decisive against OL. Scorer in the first period (17th), taking advantage of a huge error from Ainsley Maitland-Niles, the striker (24 years old) scored for the seventh time in ten matches this season in Ligue 1. He thus becomes the first player to score 31 goals in official competition in a calendar year since Fernand Devlaminck in 1957 (39). Already indispensable, the Canadian international (57 caps) writes a little more about the history of his club with each match. But his overall performance, like his team, was dampened by a much duller second half.
