Rúben Amorim was confirmed this Friday as Manchester United’s new coach, becoming the seventh Portuguese coach to reach the Premier League.

Rúben Amorim is the seventh Portuguese to reach the Premier League, being the second to play for Manchester United. José Mourinho is the Portuguese with the most challenges, having played for Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Marco Silva has already played for Watford and Everton, as well as being the current coach of Fulham. Nottingham Forest is coached by Nuno Espírito Santo, who also previously played for Wolverhampton.

Wolverhampton was also home to Bruno Lage. Like José Mourinho, André Villas-Boas also played for Chelsea and Tottenham. Finally, Carlos Carvalhal has a spell at Swansea.
