The storm in Spain has already claimed more than 150 victims. Among them is a former footballer from professional club Valencia.

The Spanish region around Valencia has been hit by severe weather in recent days. Many people were killed as a result. There are also many missing people.

Eldense club reports the death of José Castillejo. The attacker was barely 28 years old and is one of the fatalities of the storm in Valecia.

“Terrible news after the catastrophic storm Dana has reached us,” it said. “CD Eldense is mourning the death of former player José Castillejo at the age of 28. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.”

Valencia football club also confirms the news. There he played as a talented player in the Academy until he was 19. He did not break through and played football for some clubs from the lower series until 2020.

“We deeply regret the death of José Castillejo, a victim of the disaster,” Valencia said. “Castillejo was part of the Valencia CF academy.”
