Five people injured in shooting during the night from Thursday to Friday in the Couronneries districtin Poitiers. A 15-year-old minor was shot in the head and his life is at risk. The events took place around 10:45 p.m., at Coimbra Square, in front of a kebab restaurant. The manager of the restaurant next door, the one who called the emergency services, testifies.
“He’s a polite, kind young person, a collateral victim”
Wajih Ayed, the manager of the “Pac-Miam” restaurant, was present in his establishment when it happened. “I heard gunshots, around five or six detonations, like bursts,” he explains to us. “As I was leaving, I saw the young man [celui gravement blessé] who was on the ground. That's when we called the police and on the 15th for them to intervene.” This 15-year-old young man, who is today in a state of brain death, the manager knows him, “like his family. He is a customer, a very polite, very kind, very discreet young man. I have no words, I don't understand, it hurts my heart a lot.”he adds.
“A completely normal evening, everyone arrived after the shots”
The restaurant manager ensures that “it was a day before a public holiday, a completely normal evening”. At our microphone, the one who notified the emergency services wants to add that according to him, “this young man has nothing to do with any of this. I'm sure he has no history or anything.” For him, “He’s a collateral victim.” He adds : “I've been living in this place for six years, there have never been any gunshots. A few problems, that's for sure, but never any gunshots.”
Still according to the restaurateur, at the time of the gunshots, “around 10:50 p.m.” , “At that time there was almost no one in Coimbra Square.” “The people arrived after the shots,” he says.
