After the victory over Torino, Ivan Juric was interviewed by DAZN.

An important and deserved victory, heavy for the moment you are experiencing: are you happy with the response? Did your team’s desire to attack again when they lost the ball impress me? Is it the answer you wanted, temperamentally but also from the point of view of your football?
“After Florence, it was important to get back on the right path. We played an excellent match against a difficult team to face. The boys were good, both in terms of play, in the defensive phase, and in choosing moments: when it was necessary to tighten the lines a bit, they did everything well, both in terms of play and in terms of pressing. In a very difficult moment, everything went well.”
Did you expect such a compact response off the pitch? The support you needed has arrived.
“We have to make our fans smile, we have to make them rejoice again. Today there were moments in which I also heard applause, where they were happy. Only with performances like this can we regain their trust. This is a great goal for my team.”
Roma returned from the changing rooms in the second half even before Torino. He also spoke little, I imagine.
After Florence there were some difficult moments, and rightly so. Now we just have to think about playing football, improving our performances, being focused on the ball, on the matches, and nothing else.
Today I saw the team very focused. We conceded very little to Torino. I am very satisfied with both those who started from the first minute and those who took over. They gave everything.”
What do you think when you see this banner (“Come on Ivan”, ed.)?
“I don’t know if it was for me or for others. So far I can’t be very happy. I did some decent things, you can do much better. I hope to regain the public’s trust, with these performances, with solidity, with the game, with ideas: I hope so.”
Can you say a few words about the Kone-Le Fée couple?
“They are a good couple, because Manu has a lot of strength but also other things. Le Fée is very intelligent, he knows how to read situations, he covers spaces, he gives balance. Today I liked them, each for their own characteristics. They played an intense game in the defensive phase, but also in the game: they moved the ball well.”
On Sunday he meets another team from his past: will Dovbyk recover? And is Pellegrini okay?
“Pellegrini was a technical choice. He came in as captain, I’m very happy. Dovbyk had a virus, I hope to recover by Sunday. We tried this solution, like false nine, which worked well for long stretches. But the important thing is to recover the others too.”
