The list of deaths continues to grow and FC Valencia mourns one of its former players. Affected by a devastating cold drop and torrential rains, the south-east of Spain is counting its victims and the damage caused by the worst meteorological disaster in 50 years.

Valencia – Real Madrid postponed

This Thursday, October 31, FC announced, in a press release published on its social networks, that one of its former players trained at the club had died. This is José Castillejo, 28 years old, and a local child. The player had never climbed the ranks to the first team and played in small clubs in the surrounding area (Paterna, Bunol or Vilamarxant).

The floods which devastated the south-east of Spain left at least 158 ​​dead and “dozens and dozens of missing”according to the latest figures. The meeting between Valencia FC and Real Madrid, initially scheduled for Saturday November 2, has been postponed.
