Will Brive be able to continue? This is the question everyone has been asking for several weeks now. Brive knows how to win at home but can no longer do so away. What will happen on Friday? The CAB is preparing for this move and hopes that the wheel will turn.
Brive is looking for its rhythm but the engine always stalls as soon as it is necessary to make a move. For the moment, this does not prevent us from remaining at the top of the ranking but as the season progresses, it would be good to be able to bring back big points from outside.
Infirmary
The infirmary adds new names after Dax. Adrien Pélissié (knee), Paul Pimienta (shoulder), Renger Van Eerten (shoulder), Sasha Gué (pectoral), Timilai Rokoduru (ankle), Stuart Olding (back), Guillaume Galletier (calf), Ross Moriarty (knee) and Lucas Da Silva are in care.
Preparation
We set off again for a tour and we will see on Friday if the Brive players have learned from their mistakes and will avoid repeating them. The group is evolving somewhat with the few absent here and there (Francisco Coria Marchetti is on training with Argentina until Wednesday in Paris) and the staff will draw on its training and in particular Leny Broncan who joined the Briviste Espoirs this season from Colomiers. training is going well and we are looking to exploit the advantages. A point to work on that Pierre-Henry Broncan pointed out at a press conference on Friday evening. But this is not the only point to work on for the team to improve its production on the field. Even if she works on numerical inferiorities in training, it's always better not to repeat it in a match. And during the session, we also heard the head coach refocusing his players several times when things were not going well. On the other hand, it would be good if when there are forwards or throws that are not straight, we either restart the game or give the ball to the other team. The group also worked in several parts with those who were part of the collective and those who were entitled to a physical/tackle workshop. The session took place under the eyes of some of the Limoges staff, who came as neighbors. For those hoping to see a big rotation with the full JIFF, this is not the way. But it remains to be seen how the next training sessions will go. Brive also needs to take points away and we remember what happened last season at Valence-Romans with a (very) reshuffled team.
