Rodri, midfielder for Manchester City and the Spanish national team, is the winner of the 2024 Ballon d'Or, reports the European press. The information is based on Real Madrid's withdrawal from participating in the award ceremony, this Monday (10/28). Vini Jr and Bellingham, from the merengue club, were the Spaniard's main competitors.
The entire Spanish team delegation, including president Florentino Pérez, Vini Jr and Bellingham, canceled their trip to the ceremony, which takes place in Paris. Around 50 people from the club were scheduled to disembark in France.

How was Rodri's season?
At 28 years old, the Manchester City midfielder is a protagonist for the club and the Spanish team, champion of the European Championship. He was deservedly chosen as the best player in the competition.
Wearing the City shirt, he played in the Champions League, English League Cup, FA Cup, English Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup. In the 2023/24 season, he played 50 games, with nine goals and 13 assists.
